The Los Alamos County Council set up a public meeting on July 7, 2011
so that the NM502 Study contractor,
MIG, Inc., could respond
to technical questions regarding the proposed modifications to Trinity Drive
and East Road. The twelve questions submitted by Joel Williams and myself
for MIG on June 2 are available
as an Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file by clicking here.
Several other participants contributed a number of other questions. |
On June 24, MIG submitted
their extensive responses and their
(First) "Draft Final
Report" (Adobe pdf file, 2.3MB). |
The July 7th Q&A meeting occurred while Los Alamos was still "smoked
in" from the Las Conchas fire. Los Alamos citizens and two represetatives
of MIG and CDM,
Inc. discussed questions and responses where the citizens considered
that unresolved issues remained. |
William Mead submitted to the County Council a detailed assessment
of MIG's responses to
46 technical questions. Both the direct responses and the (First) "Draft
Final Report" were considered in the evaluation. An executive
summary of my assessment of 25 responses is available
here. The full assessment is available on request. Of the 46 responses
evaluated, I considered 8 issues to be resolved in an acceptable way and
38 of the questions to be addressed with incomplete or unsatisfactory
responses.
MIG submitted their (Second) "Final
Draft Report" (Adobe pdf file, 2.8MB) on August 16, 2011. |
